Overlooking the St. Joseph Bay on serene Cape San Blas. Wake up to spectacular sunrises and stroll the beach for stunning sunsets. Enjoy a quiet, romantic dinner on your screened porch or open deck, serving freshly caught fish or scallops. Kayak or canoe the waters of the Bay, hike in the State Park, walk the beach, or just relax and read a book - Cape San Blas has it all. This cottage is one of 6. If you have a large party, let us know and we can check other rentals for you. There is a pier outside your door and parking for 2 cars and a boat trailer (20 ft. or less) at the cottage. The public boat ramp is a short distance away. There is boardwalk access to the beach for relaxing in the sun or watching the porpoises as they play in the surf. The fishing is great in the area. This a pet-friendly property. Pet fee is $75 for first pet, $50 for second.

Situated on the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay, surrounded by miles of protected habitat, white sandy beaches (voted the best beach in the US in 2002 by Dr. Beach), and emerald green waters, Cape San Blas looks like a curled finger of land jutting into the water and provides the protective barrier that keeps our surf so quiet and gentle. There are several parks and historic sites. It's not unusual to spot deer, fox, soaring eagles, osprey, sea turtles, or even a family of black bears. St. Joseph State Park is a 2500 acre wildlife refuge offering ten miles of uninhabited beach and bay shores and a boat ramp.
 
Maximum occupancy is 5 people, this is a strict limitation.  Names and ages of all occupants shall be recorded on the rental agreement.
 
Pets are allowed with a non-refundable pet fee of  $75 for the first pet and $50 for the second pet.  All pets must be declared on the rental agreement.
 
Rental rates are based on two people.  Additional people are $3 per day per person.
 
The cleaning fee is $165 and there is a 12% sales and lodging tax on all rents and fees.
 
There is a $200 refundable security deposit which will be refunded within 14 days after check-out, provided there is no damage, or unauthorized people or pets.
 
Cancellation Policy:
 
If cancelled greater than 30 days from check-in, all payments will be refunded less $125 per booked week plus tax. Reservation payments will NOT be refunded on cancellations made less than thirty (30) days in advance of the reservation unless the unit is re-rented for the same rental payment and time period originally reserved. Even if re-rented, $125.00 plus tax will be retained for a service charge. In the event of a mandatory hurricane evacuation, a prorate refund on the base rent will be made to the renter for days not stayed. No other weather related refunds will be made. Trip insurance is strongly advised.
 
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy as of Saturday, Aug 19, 2023:
1. If there are government mandated travel or rental restrictions or the beaches are closed due to COVID-19 and it is within 30 days of your stay a full refund or rebooking will be offered.
2. If you cancel 30 days out or longer from your stay, you will be refunded all but $125 per booked week.
3. If there are no travel or rental restrictions within 30 days or sooner from your stay and you cancel, there will be no refunds unless the property can be re-rented.
4. Trip insurance is highly recommended to cover the traveller(s) in case of cancellation due to getting the coronavirus.
