Booking Details & Policies
 
Occupancy:
Maximum occupancy is strictly 5 guests. Rates are based on 2 guests, with a $3 per person, per day charge for each additional guest. Names and ages of all guests must be listed on the rental agreement. This villa is one of 6, so for groups of more than 5, ask us about renting additional villas.
 
Pets:
Pets are welcome. A nonrefundable pet fee of $75 applies for the first pet and $50 for the second. All pets must be declared and listed on the rental agreement.
 
Cleaning Fee:
$190 per stay. Longer stays add $25 for 7+ nights, $70 for 14+ nights, or $125 for 28+ nights.
 
Taxes:
12% combined sales and lodging tax applies to all rental rates.
 
Card Payments:
A 3.5% service fee applies to all card payments.
 
Security Deposit:
A $200 refundable security deposit is required with your reservation. Security deposits are refunded within 14 days of checkout, provided no damage, unauthorized guests, or undeclared pets are reported.
 
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made more than 30 days before check-in will be fully refunded, excluding credit card processing fees paid. Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before check-in will be refunded 50% of the rent and fees, excluding credit card processing fees paid. Cancellations made within 13 days of check-in are non-refundable; inquire about further options.
 
Mandatory Hurricane Evacuation:
In the event of a mandatory hurricane evacuation, a prorated refund of the base rent will be issued for the days the property cannot be occupied. No refunds will be issued for other weather-related events. We strongly advise purchasing trip insurance.

This was a wonderful little trip in a very neat location. The area has a nice vibe and the place itself is cozy and quaint. The Bay with a beautiful view is accessible from your porch and has a large yard for kids and dogs. The beach access is a short walk across the street, there is a small boardwalk with a little sign. We loved our stay at the 'Scallop House' we got to spend all day at the beach, anything we may have forgotten the convince store had. This is a great place nestled between the beach and the bay. It's also located just behind the convenience store that carries everything you can imagine. The stay doesn't include a washer/dryer, but that's my fault for missing it on the description. There is a washer/dryer available at the convenience store 25 seconds walking distance away. My husband and I took our kiddos for Spring Break. We brought 2 of our own kayaks and then rented one from the Scallop Cove for a very decent price. The dock on property is an easy walk and has steps to easily put in and take out the kayaks. The beach access is super close and an easy walk to a very quiet beach. The house is small, so I understand the 5 person limit, but it was perfect for our family. The kitchen has everything you could need, but there is not a dishwasher, so make sure you bring a scrubby brush and towels to dry dishes. - (Apr 2025 - VRBO)

My boyfriend, dog, and I loved our time at Scallop Cove! The house is part of a strip of 5 or 6 with a shared backyard green space and dock on the bay. It's right behind a convenience store so you can walk over whenever you need something, and it's a block walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach. The sun rises directly over the dock on the bay. It was easy to find and the lockbox to check in was uncomplicated (speaking as someone who has an inexplicably difficult time with lockboxes). The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and small appliances. We enjoyed the screened porch which mostly kept the no see ums away. After years of visiting San Blas with other families, staying in big houses, this year I visited solo and am so glad I found Scallop Cove - never even knew these cute cottages were back there! This was perfect for just me and would have been fine for a family of 3 or 4 (and dog) too. Location was great, it's nice and quiet back there and the view out the back porch and patio is lovely. View is absolutely beautiful for sunrises! Run across the street to the private Scallop Cove beach access and see to die for sunsets! Fishing is great off the dock, perfect for kayaking to see stingrays, sharks, or snorkel when tide is lower to see starfish & crabs. House has everything you need and super comfy beds!
