Hi, I am Vince Bishop.  I own and manage Aqua Shores Vacation Rentals.  Helping me out is Sandy and her cleaning crew.

My family and I started vacationing on Cape San Blas in 1990.  In 1995 my parents bought the Aqua Essence.  In 2005, I retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and moved to Port St. Joe.  In 2009, I started managing the rentals for the Aqua Essence and moved out to the Cape.

Most of the vacation rental properties on the Cape are large houses and not suitable to small families.  The Aqua Essence units are very popular because they are smaller and less costly to rent than the larger properties.  They rent very well during all times of the year.  In 2014, I started adding other small properties to my inventory and started Aqua Shores Vacation Rentals.  By 2017 Aqua Shores has 10 properties.  All but one are two bedroom, the other is 3 bedrooms.  All but one are pet friendly.  Most are either on the water or just off the water with access to a pool.

If you rent from Aqua Shores, you will most likely meet me in person, for I live on the Cape love to visit with our visitors.

A little more of my history;

I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.  Attended the University of Kentucky then joined the US Navy and operated the nuclear power plant on a submarine for a while.  Then I worked in commercial nuclear power, got my Bachelors from Troy State Dothan, went to grad school at the University of Tennessee, and then worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Health Physicist for 16 years.  After moving to Port St. Joe, I ran a small web application development company (and still do), joined Florida-One Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and am now the Logistics Section Chief for the team.  I also joined South Gulf Fire and Rescue and am one of the Assistant Fire Chiefs.  I also teach emergency response for FEMA and the Air National Guard a couple of times a month.  Just this year, my significant other, Julia Cunningham, and two other couples built and operate the Scallop RePUBlic, a music venue on the Cape that has liive music 6-7 nights a week.  We also server craft beer and wine.

I am very active as a volunteer in the community and have a great respect for nature.

Come enjoy our Cape.
